Six scholarships of € 20,000 will be awarded in the following scientific-disciplinary areas: Life Sciences; Environmental Sciences; Mathematics; Computer and Information Science; Physics; Chemistry; Engineering and Technologies.

A jury composed of a panel of distinguished Italian university professors and scientists will examine the candidate projects. The "For Women in Science" program, managed and created in 1998 by the L’Oréal Foundation in collaboration with UNESCO, aims to increase the presence of women in scientific careers. Over the past 23 years, more than 3,600 female researchers have been supported in their career in 117 countries.

For the first time, the twentieth Italian edition of the "L'Oréal Italia for Women and Science" Award extends the possibility of applying to female researchers with a fixed-term contract. Not only that: you must have completed at least the penultimate year of your PhD program, and in regards to the age limit of 35, there is an extension of 1 (one) year for each child.
