ATENA, platform created to manage and monitor the careers of PhD students, was developed by South Engineering, a company located in Aversa, with the initial supervision of several professors and the constant supervision of the central offices of our University.
This platform was developed for the need to implement monitoring of the quality indicators of research and the training offer of the PhD Programmes.
This software provides the University with a modern and intelligent management of PhD students' careers, of their educational plans and training offer available, collects the essential information and documents necessary for evaluation and self-evaluation and makes monitoring easy by all actors involved.
"Our University - commented the Rector of the Vanvitelli University, Gianfranco Nicoletti - is at the forefront of the academic panorama for the implementation of an advanced tool for the monitoring and management of doctoral training".
With the Atena platform, PhD students will have a unique tool to find all the information necessary for choosing and carrying out their training, the documentation for its validation, as well as the procedures to request for research funds or scholarship increases to which they are entitled.
The platform makes it possible, in the absence of a CINECA tool for registering such paths into the ESSE3 system, to register the complex careers of PhD students which involve specific highly individualised research training programmes in relation to the different types of grants (National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP), Industrial, University, National Operational Program (PON), etc.), leading to the issue of the "Diploma Supplement".
Finally, the platform allows the educational offering of the PhD course to be documented so that it can be compared with doctoral programmes in other countries, for the recognition of the qualification acquired abroad,
